Renault has unveiled the Twizy Renault Sport F1. It is a Twizy equipped with the Kers, the energy recovery system. The traditional electric motor with 17 hp coupled to the Kers reaches 97 hp for 14 seconds. The Twizy Sport F1 accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 6 seconds, the same time of a Megane RS, while top speed is 110 km/h. The Kers was positioned in place of the rear seat, the driver adjusts the functioning through the F1 steering wheel with appropriate commands. Activating the Recovery mode, the Kers acts as a generator: it takes power from the main motor to recharge the batteries when the Twizy is moving. In Boost phase, the Kers contributes to the acceleration releasing the stored energy. Outside, the Twizy Renault Sport F1 is fitted with slick tires, rear view mirrors from F1 cars, side fairings, front spoiler, rear spoiler, rear wing and diffuser. The car will make its appearance at the Motor Show of Barcelona.
La Renault ha svelato la Twizy Renault Sport F1. Si tratta di una Twizy equipaggiata con il Kers, il sistema di recupero dell'energia. Il motore elettrico tradizionale da 17 cv accoppiato al Kers raggiunge i 97 cv per un tempo di 14 secondi. La Twizy Sport F1 accelera da 0 a 100 km/h in 6 secondi, lo stesso tempo di una Megane RS, mentre la velocità massima è di 110 km/h. Il Kers è stato posizionato al posto del sedile posteriore, il pilota ne regola il funzionamento attraverso il volante di stampo F1 con appositi comandi. Attivando la modalità Recovery (recupero di energia), il kers funziona da generatore: preleva potenza dal motore principale per ricaricare le batterie quando la Twizy è in movimento. Nella fase Boost, il Kers contribuisce all'accelerazione liberando l'energia immagazzinata. All'esterno, la Twizy Renault Sport F1 monta ruote da monoposto con gomme slick, retrovisori da monoposto, carene laterali, spoiler anteriore, spoiler e alettone posteriore e diffusore. L'auto farà la sua apparizione in occasione del Salone di Barcellona.
