The RCZ R, exhibited at the Goodwood Festival of Speed, is the most powerful road-legal Peugeot ever. Outside, the car comes with fixed rear wing, 10 mm lowered suspension and 19-inch wheels. Under the hood, the RCZ R features the 1.6-liter turbo engine that develops 270 hp and 330 Nm, thanks to a new twin-scroll turbo, Mahle pistons and connecting rods and a new stainless steel exhaust system. The engine is mated to a manual transmission and Torsen differential. The maximum speed is 250 km/h, acceleration 0-100 km/h is in 5.9 seconds, the 400 meters from a standing start in 14.2 seconds and 1,000 meters in 25.4 seconds. The acceleration from 80 to 110 km/h in sixth gear takes 6.8 seconds. The Peugeot RCZ R will be available in four body colors (Moroccan Red, Nera Black, Mercury Grey and Opal White) and custom finishes (roof with satin effect or polished carbon, exclusive graphics and mirrors in black).
Peugeot has released images and technical data of the 208 T16 which Sébastien Loeb will drive at Pikes Peak this year. The French car features a twin-turbo 3.2-liter V6 engine, placed in central position, which develops 875 hp and 883 Nm of torque. The tubular frame is coupled to the carbon fiber body. The car weighs only 875 kg and it adopts four-wheel drive mated to a six-speed sequential gearbox. The 208 T16 accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 1.8 seconds, 0 to 200 km/h in 4.8 seconds and from 0 to 240 km/h in 7 seconds, reaching a top speed of 240 km/h. The T16 adopts many of the 908 components, the prototype with which the House has won the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 2009: the carbon braking system, the cooling system and the same aerodynamic.
The Peugeot RCZ Arlen Ness is a special edition of the French sports coupe customized by "the King of Choppers". The RCZ comes in black and orange livery, enriched with leather and stitching. The exhaust system is developed by Termignoni, an exhaust specialist for motorcycle. The brakes are Brembo, the trim has been edited by Andreani Group with Ohlins Road & Track dampers and DFV technology. Air filters, finally, have been developed by Sprint Filter. The entire project was completed on a RCZ, eqipped with THP 1.6-liter engine, capable of delivering 200 hp. The Peugeot RCZ Arlen Ness is on display at Verona Fiere (Italy) at the Motor Bike Expo 2013, January 18 to 20.
Peugeot unveiled at the Paris Salon the 208 GTi. The car weighs just 1,160 kg and is equipped with four-cylinder 1.6 THP turbo engine that delivers 200 hp and 275 Nm combined to a 6-speed manual gearbox. The 208 GTi is capable of reaching a top speed of 230 km/h and accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in less than 7 seconds. Will be on sale in the spring of next year. See other pictures below.
