2013 Mercedes E 63 AMG

Mercedes has released the first photos and official information about the E 63 AMG, which will be presented at the Detroit Motor Show 2013. For the first time the model will be offered with either rear-wheel drive or 4Matic all-wheel. The body of AMG shares updates makeover with the other models, adding aerodynamic and technical equipment. The most important change is the introduction of 4Matic S, the version at the top of the range, which is equipped with the 5.5-liter twin-turbo V8 that produces 585 hp and 800 Nm of torque, mated to all-wheel drive. The E63 AMG is also available with the 5.5-liter twin-turbo V8 with 557 hp and 720 Nm, combined with either rear-wheel drive or all-wheel drive. The E63 rear-wheel drive accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.2 seconds, the 4Matic requires only 3.7 s, while the 4Matic S accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.6 seconds and reaches a top speed electronically limited to 300 km/h. All versions are equipped with the seven-speed SPEEDSHIFT MCT, which provides the functions of automatic shotgun and Race Start, in addition to the four driving modes: Controlled Efficiency, Sport, Sport + and Manual. The ESP can be adjusted to three levels of intervention. The suspension is adjustable with the Ride Control on Comfort, Sport and Sport Plus mode. On request, you can also have the carbon-ceramic brakes. The E 63 AMG will debut in April in the rear-wheel drive version, in June will follow the 4Matic 4Matic and S.

La carrozzeria della AMG condivide gli aggiornamenti del restyling con gli altri modelli, aggiungendo esclusive appendici aerodinamiche e dotazioni tecniche. La E63 a trazione posteriore scatta da 0 a 100 km/h in 4,2 s, il modello 4Matic ne richiede solo 3,7, mentre la 4Matic S accelera da 0 a 100 km/h in 3,6 secondi e raggiunge una velocità massima autolimitata ai 300 km/h. Tutte le versioni montano il cambio a sette marce Speedshift Mct, che offre le funzioni di doppietta automatica e Race Start, oltre alle quattro modalità di guida: Controlled Efficiency, Sport, Sport+ e Manual. L'Esp è regolabile su tre livelli d'intervento. Le sospensioni sono regolabili con il Ride Control sulle modalità Comfort, Sport e Sport Plus. Su richiesta, è disponibile l'impianto frenante carboceramico. La E 63 AMG debutterà ad aprile nella versione a trazione posteriore, a giugno seguiranno la 4Matic e la 4Matic S.
