The new Bentley Continental GT Speed Convertible, the four-seater convertible fastest in the world, will make its international debut on January 14 at the International Motor Show 2013 in Detroit. The car is powered by the 6.0-liter W12 twin turbo with 625 hp and 800 Nm of torque, which allows it to reach 325 km/h of top speed. The GT Speed Convertible accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.1 seconds and from 0 to 160 km/h in 9.7 seconds. The engine is mated to the all-wheel drive and a Quickshift 8-speed sequential gearbox. The chassis has been stiffened and trim, electrically operated, has been lowered by 10 mm compared to the 575 hp GT. Compared to other Continental, the GT Speed is characterized by a honeycomb grille, the air intakes on the bumpers and 21-inches alloy wheels. The interiors are made by hand, the Mulliner package is standard and it includes a leather quilted coating combined to dark finished alluminium panels. The level of customization is at the highest level: instead of alluminium finishing the customer can choose briar root or carbon fiber with satin finish. To allow customers to drive with open roof, even in winter, the car is also equipped with a heating system for the neck integrated in the seats.
La nuova Bentley Continental GT Speed Convertible, la cabriolet quattro posti più veloce al mondo, farà il suo debutto internazionale il 14 gennaio al Salone Internazionale dell’Auto di Detroit 2013. L'auto è spinta dal 6.0 litri W12 biturbo da 625 cv e 800 Nm di coppia, che le permette di raggiungere i 325 km/h di velocità massima. La GT Speed Convertible accelera da 0 a 100 km/h in 4,1 secondi e da 0 a 160 km/h in 9,7 secondi. Il motore è abbinato alla trazione integrale e al cambio sequenziale Quickshift, dotato di otto rapporti. Il telaio è stato irrigidito e l'assetto, gestito elettricamente, è stato ribassato di 10 mm rispetto alla GT da 575 cv. Rispetto alle altre Continental, la GT Speed si caratterizza per la griglia a nido d'ape, le prese d'aria posizionate sui paraurti e per i cerchi in lega da 21 pollici. Gli interni sono realizzati a mano, di serie è offerto il pacchetto Mulliner che comprende un rivestimento in pelle trapuntata abbinata a pannelli con finitura in alluminio di colore scuro. Il livello di personalizzazione risulta ai massimi livelli: al posto delle finiture d'alluminio il cliente può scegliere radiche o la fibra di carbonio con finitura satinata. Per permettere ai clienti di guidare a cielo aperto anche d'inverno, la vettura è dotata anche di un sistema di riscaldamento per il collo integrato nei sedili.
