Disco Volante by Touring Superleggera

After being presented as a concept a year ago, the Disco Volante Touring, created by Touring Superleggera, debuted in these days in its final form at the Geneva Motor Show. The Disco Volante is a two-seater coupe with front engine, rear wheel drive and transaxle gearbox, a scheme that provides an optimum load 49-51%. Made on the chassis of the Alfa Romeo 8C Competizione, it is inspired by the 1952 Alfa Romeo C52. Under the hood there is the same 4.7-liter V8 of the Alfa 8C Competizione, which develops 450 hp and 470 Nm of torque, mated to a six-speed sequential gearbox with paddles on the steering wheel and limited slip differential. The car is made of aluminum and plastics reinforced with carbon fiber: power and lightness allow accelerations from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.2 seconds and a maximum speed of 292 km/h. The Disco Volante will be produced by artisans on request and in small series. See the official images below.

2012 Porsche Boxster S 981 spotted (photos)

Here you find the pictures I took to a Porsche Boxster S at the Modena racetrack. The Boxster S features a six-cylinder boxer engine 3.4-liter capable of 315 hp at 6,700 rpm and 360 Nm of torque from 4,500 to 5,800 rpm. The transmission is entrusted with a six-speed manual transmission and rear wheel drive. The model in the pictures is equipped with the dual-clutch PDK seven-speed gearbox (optional). With a weight of 1,320 kg, the convertible two-seater accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 5.1 seconds, 0 to 160 in 11 seconds and it reaches a top speed of 279km/h.

2013 Rolls Royce Wraith

Rolls Royce presented to Geneva Motor Show the new Wraith, the most powerful Rolls-Royce ever built. The Wraith features a V12 bi-turbo 6.6-liter that develops 624 hp and 800 Nm already available at 1,500 rpm. The engine is mated to a ZF eight-speed automatic transmission. Despite the mass of 2360 kg, the House declares acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.6 seconds and the top speed is electronically limited at 250 km/h. The interior is fully customizable and it uses leather, wood finishes and coatings of high quality. The Satellite Aided Transmission (SAT) makes its debut on this model: it uses the information of GPS in order to select the right gear according to the road you are currently traveling.

2013 Porsche 911 991 GT3

The new Porsche 911 GT3 debuted at the Geneva Motor Show. The most important news are the PDK dual-clutch gearbox and rear axle steering. The engine is a 3.8 six-cylinder boxer that delivers 475 hp at 8,250 rpm, combined with rear-wheel drive with limited slip differential. The engine, derived from the Carrera S, has undergone several changes, it can reach 9,000 rpm and it withstands the mechanical stresses of the high speeds. The seven-speed PDK has been revised to tough use. The four-wheel steering system increases the agility at low speeds and stability at high speeds. According to Porsche, the 911 GT3 accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.5 seconds, 0-200 km/h in less than 12 seconds, and it reaches 315 km/h of top speed. The time at the Nürburgring is under 7'30".

Ferrari F150 LaFerrari

The Ferrari F150 LaFerrari was unveiled at the Geneva Motor Show 2013. LaFerrari will be produced in only 499 examples. The new hypercar adopts a hybrid Hy-Kers engine, derived from Formula 1. LaFerrari has a weight distribution with a ratio of 41:59 between the two axes and a center of gravity lower than 35 mm compared to the Enzo. The interior is characterized by the fixed seat and adjustable pedals. Thanks to the use of four different types of composite in the various parts of the body, the torsional rigidity grew by 27% and flexural rigidity of 21%, compared to the Enzo. The engine is a 6.3 V12 that delivers 800 hp at 9,250 rpm, combined with an electric motor with 163 hp, which brings the total output to 963 hp and maximum torque of 900 Nm. LaFerrari is equipped with a second electric motor that provides power to auxiliary systems and a battery pack that sits in the floor, weighs 60 kg and is recharged during braking. The electric traction motor is placed in the queue the F1 dual clutch gearbox. The Brembo braking system has been developed for this specific use, it is integrated with the energy recovery system and has grippers lightened and carbon-ceramic discs. According to data reported by the House, acceleration from 0-100 km/h takes place within 3 seconds, 0-200 km/h in less than 7 seconds and 0-300 in 15 seconds. The lap time at Fiorano is equal to 1'20", five seconds less than the Enzo and in three seconds less than F12berlinetta.

Lamborghini Veneno

The Lamborghini Veneno is designed to celebrate the fiftieth anniversary of the House of Sant'Agata Bolognese and it will be unveiled at the Geneva Motor Show 2013. It will be built in only three examples at a price of 3.6 million euro. The engine of Veneno comes from the Aventador, but thanks to some changes, now the V12 6.5-liter delivers 740 hp. The Lamborghini Veneno accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 2.8 seconds and it reaches a top speed of 354 km/h. Even the carbon shell comes from the Aventador, but now it is more rigid.

Mercedes-Benz SLS 640-2 Carbon Edition by Oakley Design and Refined Marques

Oakley Design and Refined Marques unveiled the new Mercedes-Benz SLS 640-2 Carbon Edition, based on the Mercedes SLS AMG. Thaks to engine modification, the V8 power has been increased to 636 hp and torque to 773 Nm. The body has been equipped with new carbon fiber parts, air intakes and a new exhaust system.

Ferrari F12berlinetta F12 Stallone by Mansory

Mansory will present at the Geneva Motor Show 2013 the Mansory F12 Stallone. The Mansory F12 Stallone has gained a carbon fiber body kit, which includes a redesigned hood, new bumpers, air intakes, side skirts and a new rear diffuser and rear wing. Mansory engineers have also fitted a modified ECU and a sports exhaust system. The 6.0-liter V12 engine gets 35 hp and 35 Nm more, boosting the engine from 740 to 775 hp, torque is now 725 Nm. The F12 Stallone is equipped with light weight forged alloy wheels 21-inch at the front and 22 inches at the rear. The interiors can be tailored to an owners individual tastes.

Mercedes-Benz G-Class by Mansory

Mansory has unveiled its tuning program for the Mercedes-Benz G-Class. The German all-terrain vehicle now features an aerodynamic kit with a front spoiler, LED daytime running lights, a new bumper and front grille. The bonnet is made ​​of carbon fiber, as well as the rear spoiler and mirrors. The rear bumper with integrated diffuser complete the kit. Mansory has also installed a new sports exhaust system and 23-inch alloy wheels. The interior is lined with handmade leather with sporting carbon fiber and aluminum details.

BMW M6 CLR 6 M by Lumma Design


The tuner Lumma will unveil its tuning program for the BMW M6 F12 and F13 at the Geneva Motor Show. The BMW CLR 6 M features the 560 hp V8 twin-turbo engine of the M6. Lumma adds aesthetic changes such as carbon hood with air intakes, a new rear bumper, a diffuser and a rear wing and an exhaust system in stainless steel. The wheel arch extensions are make room for the multi-part Lumma Design 21-inch sport rims. The body kit is available for all sedans and convertibles of the BMW six series, models F12 and F13, from 640i to the M6.
