2013 Mercedes CLS 63 AMG

At the 2013 Detroit Motor Show, Mercedes has unveiled the CLS 63 AMG sedan and Shooting Brake. The car is now also available in S version, powered by the 5.5-liter twin-turbo V8 with 585 hp and 800 Nm of torque, mated to 4Matic all-wheel drive and sports transmission AMG SPEEDSHIFT MCT with 7-speed, which allows four different modes of use: C (efficiency), S (sport), S+ (sport plus) and M (manual). The CLS 63 AMG S accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.6 seconds, top speed is electronically limited to 250 km/h. The four-wheel drive traction distributes 33% on the front axle and 67% on the rear. The rear-wheel drive version is also available, powered by the 5.5-liter twin-turbo V8 with 557 hp and 720 Nm of torque. The CLS 63 AMG S is equipped with the AMG Ride Control sports suspension electronically controlled: through a button you can switch between the Comfort setting up the Sport Plus. On S are also available carbon-ceramic brakes. The commercial launch of the CLS 63 AMG S is expected in June.

Al Salone di Detroit 2013 la Mercedes ha presentato la CLS 63 AMG in versione berlina e Shooting Brake.  La vettura adesso sarà disponibile anche in versione S, mossa dal V8 5.5 litri biturbo da 585 cv e 800 Nm di coppia abbinato alla trazione integrale 4Matic e al cambio sportivo AMG Speedshift MCT a 7 rapporti, che permette quattro differenti modalità d'uso: C (efficiency), S (sport), S+ (sport plus) e M (manuale). La CLS 63 AMG S accelera da 0 a 100 km/h in 3,6 secondi, la velocità massima è limitata elettronicamente a 250 km/h. Le quattro ruote motrici distribuiscono la trazione al 33% sull'asse anteriore e al 67% su quello posteriore. Rimane disponibile la versione a trazione posteriore, equipaggiata con il motore V8 5.5 litri biturbo da 557 cv e 720 Nm di coppia. Sulle CLS 63 S AMG è presente l'AMG Ride Control che agisce sulle sospensioni sportive controllate elettronicamente: attraverso un pulsante si passa dal settaggio Comfort fino allo Sport Plus. Sulle AMG S sono anche disponibili i freni carboceramici. Il lancio commerciale della CLS 63 S AMG è atteso per giugno.
