Hennessey has released a video in which shows the acceleration of the Hennessey Venom GT, thanks to which it became part of the Guinness World Records book as the fastest production car from 0 to 300 km/h. The feat was accomplished at Ellington Airport in Houston, Texas (USA). According to the regulations the record is obtained from the average of two opposite steps, one made in favor of the wind (13.18 seconds) and one brace (14.08 seconds). The amazing final result was only 13.63 seconds. The Venom GT is built on the Lotus Exige, features a V8 engine of 6.2 liter supercharged by two turbochargers, offered in three different levels of maximum power: 800 hp, 1000 hp and 1244 hp at 6,500 rpm. The weight of the car is limited to 1,244 kg. The transmission is a 6-speed Ricardo plc. The maximum speed is 443 km/h, with a sprint 0-100 in 2.7 seconds. Watch the video and other pictures below.

L’impresa è stata compiuta all’Ellington Airport di Houston, in Texas (USA). Come da regolamento il record è ottenuto dalla media di due passaggi opposti, uno effettuato a favore del vento (13,18 secondi) e uno controvento (14,08 secondi). Lo strabiliante risultato finale è stato di soli 13,63 secondi.
