2013 Renault Clio RS 200 EDC

After the presentation a few months ago, the Renault Clio RS 2013 is ready for its prime time on the road. The new Clio RS, for the first time provided with five doors, is characterized by a more aggressive front, a 17-inch black alloy wheels (18-inch optional) and by an extractor and a rear spoiler. But the news doesn't end here. The engine is completely new, developed by Renault Sport department; it is a four-cylinder 1.6-liter turbo with 200 hp at 6000 rpm and 240 Nm already available at 1750 rpm. The engine is mated to a new EDC dual-clutch six-speed gearbox and to a RS Diff electronic limited slip differential. The Clio RS accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 6.7 seconds and it reaches a top speed of 230 km/h. A kilometer from zero, according to data reported by the House, is covered in 27.1 s. The suspension is stiffer, a stiffer anti-roll bar has been introduced  and the brake system has been increased. The frame can be chosen in the Sport and Cup versions, the Clio RS differs in the second case for the ride height lowered by 3 mm, the 15% stiffer body and more direct steering. RS Drive button allows you to select three driving modes: Normal, Sport and Race. Finally, the Clio RS offers the option of telemetry on board, thanks to its interaction with the R-Link infotainment system; if the sound of the engine does not satisfy you, there is the R-Sound Effect, which recreates the sound of famous racing cars.

Dopo la presentazione avvenuta qualche mese fa, la Renault Clio RS 2013 è pronta per il debutto su strada.  La nuova Clio RS, per la prima volta disponibile a cinque porte, è caratterizzata da un frontale più aggressivo, cerchi in lega neri da 17 pollici di serie (optional da 18) e da un estrattore e uno spoiler posteriore. Ma le novità non finiscono qua. Il motore è tutto nuovo, sviluppato dal reparto Renault Sport, si tratta di un quattro cilindri 1.6 turbo da 200 cv a 6000 giri e 240 Nm disponibili già a 1750 giri. Il motore è abbinato a un nuovo cambio doppia frizione EDC a sei rapporti e al differenziale autobloccante elettronico RS Diff. La Clio RS scatta da 0 a 100 km/h in 6,7 secondi e raggiunge una velocità massima di 230 km/h. Il chilometro da fermo, secondo i dati dichiarati dalla Casa, è coperto in 27,1 s. Le sospensioni sono più rigide, è stata introdotta una barra antirollio più rigida e l'impianto frenante è stato maggiorato. Il telaio può essere scelto nelle versioni Sport e Cup, la Clio RS si differenzia nel secondo caso per l'assetto ribassato di 3 mm, la scocca più rigida del 15% e lo sterzo più diretto. Il tasto RS Drive permette di scegliere tre modalità di guida: Normal, Sport e Race. Infine, la Clio RS offre l'opzione della telemetria a bordo, grazie all'interazione con il sistema di infotainment R-Link; se il sound del motore non vi soddisfa, c'è l'R-Sound Effect, che riproduce il suono di celebri auto da corsa.
