2013 McLaren P1: new images and specs

A few days before its debut at the Geneva Motor Show, new photos and official data of McLaren P1 have been released. The examples provided are 375, at a price that will start from £866,000. The car is powered by a hybrid engine, consisting of a twin-turbo 3.8-liter V8 and a 176 hp electric motor for a total output of 916 hp and a maximum torque of 900 Nm. The P1 accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in less than 3 seconds, 0 to 200 km/h in 7 seconds and 0 to 300 km/h in 17 seconds, top speed is limited to 350 km/h. The engines are mated to seven-speed dual-clutch gearbox and rear wheel drive. The P1 is equipped with active aerodynamic devices arising from Drs of Formula 1, tires are Pirelli PZero Corsa specially developed for the car, while the braking system, consisting of carbon-ceramic discs, is developed by the supplier of the F1 team Akebono.

L'auto è spinta da un motore ibrido, composto da un V8 biturbo da 3,8 litri e un motore elettrico da 176 cv per una potenza complessiva di 916 cv e una coppia massima di 900 Nm. La P1 accelera da 0 a 100 km/h in meno di 3 secondi, da 0 a 200 km/h in circa 7 secondi e da 0 a 300 km/h in 17 secondi, la velocità massima è limitata a 350 km/h. I motori sono abbinati al cambio doppia frizione a sette rapporti e alla trazione posteriore. La P1 è dotata di appendici aerodinamiche attive derivanti dal Drs di Formula 1, gli pneumatici sono dei Pirelli PZero Corsa sviluppati appositamente per la vettura, mentre l'impianto frenante, costituito da dischi carboceramici, è sviluppato dal fornitore del team di F1 Akebono.
