Ford and Shelby will present the 2013 New York Auto Show the Shelby Mustang 1000 S/C. This is a limited edition of 100 examples, evolution of the Shelby GT 500. The engine is a 5.8-liter supercharged V8, which delivers 1216 hp. The engine has special connecting rods and pistons, cylinder heads reinforced, a specific intercooler, a new fuel injection system and a new exhaust system. The Shelby 1000 S/C is also equipped with adjustable suspension and Wilwood sports brakes.

Il motore è un V8 5.8 litri sovralimentato con compressore volumetrico Ford Racing 4.0L, che eroga 1216 cv. Il motore ha bielle e pistoni speciali, testate rinforzate, un intercooler specifico, un nuovo sistema di iniezione carburante e un nuovo sistema di scarico. La Shelby 1000 S/C è dotata inoltre di sospensioni regolabili e freni sportivi Wilwood.
