Mettendo l'auto sulla bilancia, rispetto alla R8 Spyder 5.2 FSI Quattro, tale trattamento ha permesso di risparmiare 85 chilogrammi. Il motore V10 5.2 FSI da 560 cavalli abbinato a un cambio automatico R-Tronic a 6 rapporti, permette di raggiunge i 317 km/h e accelerare da 0 a 100 km/h in appena 3,8 secondi (con la funzione launch control).
