Ferrari 458 Speciale in action on the track [video]

I filmed this Ferrari 458 Speciale at the Modena racetrack. In the video you can see small details of the car, the start up, the take off, the acceleration on the straight, some fly bys, downshifts and the action on the track. Watch it during fast accelerations and fast fly bys and listen to the sound of its screaming engine! Top speed on the straight: 210 km/h.

Ferrari 458 Speciale at the Ferrari Museum

My father went to the Ferrari Museum in Maranello some days ago and this is what he found there...The new Ferrari 458 Speciale! The quality of the images is not very good, but you can appreciate the car! The Ferrari 458 Speciale features a 4.5-liter V8 with 605 hp at 9000 rpm and 540 Nm at 6000 rpm; it has a specific power of 135 hp/liter. The weight/power ratio is 2,13 kg/hp, so the 458 Speciale can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in less than 3 seconds and from 0 to 200 in 9,1 seconds. It lapped the Fiorano track in 1’23”5. The car has been lightened (it weights 1290 kg) and it is equipped with active aerodynamics and SSC (Side Slip angle Control).

Ferrari 458 Spider

Here I post some pictures I took to a new Ferrari 458 Spider in Maranello. In the pictures you can see some details of the car, painted in Rosso Scuderia and fitted with 20-inch Sport wheels. This car features a 4.5-liter V8 engine with 570 hp at 9000 rpm and 540 Nm at 6000 rpm, that allows it accelerations 0-100 km/h in 3.4 seconds and a top speed of 320 km/h.

A Sunday afternoon in Maranello

Here you are just some of my photos of a normal Sunday afternoon in Maranello. This time I didn't go to the Ferrari Museum, because I went there some months ago during the "Ferrari Supercars" exhibition. In the pictures below you can see the supercars parked everyday outside the museum, available for test drive! You can find all the latest model of the Ferrari: California, F430, F430 Scuderia, 458 Italia, 458 Spider and also a Lamborghini LP570-4 Superleggera.

Ferrari 458 Italia on Modulare Wheels

Modulare Wheels has decided to set up a red Ferrari 458 Italia with golden B18 monoblock wheels. These measure 21 inches at front and 22 at rear and are covered with Pirelli P Zero Nero tires measuring 255/30/21 at the front and 315/25/22 at the rear.

Ferrari 458 Spyder Novitec Rosso by SR Auto

The Canadian tuner SR Auto Group put his hands on a Ferrari 458 Spyder, making some changes such as the Novitec Upgrade. Among the news, you can find the satin black Novitec NF4 wheels measuring 21 inches at the front and 22 inches at the rear, Novitec lowering springs and Ohlins dampers. If you choose the full Novitec Rosso package you also have carbon fiber parts designed in a wind tunnel: a front spoiler with side slaps, air scoop wings, a ventilation grille, exterior mirrors, a side skirt, diffuser and rear spoiler lip, blacked-out taillights, side markers and auxiliary LED brake light. To complete the kit is also present a custom made high-performance Inconel exhaust system which releases an extra 39 hp as well as realizing a 21 kg weight reduction.

Ferrari 458 Italia by Vorsteiner

Vorsteiner has presented a body kit for the Ferrari 458 Italia. The package, entirely made ​​of carbon fiber, includes a front spoiler, a rear spoiler and a new rear diffuser with air intakes. The kit comes also with polished 20 or 21 inches wheels. The engine remains the 4.5-liter V8 with 570 hp.

Ferrari 458 Italia on ADV.1 Wheels

ADV.1 Wheels has finished fitting a set of rims to a Ferrari 458 Italia. The five-spoke wheels are matte black with a bronze outer rim. This Ferrari 458 Italia also has a carbon fiber side skirts and a carbon front splitter.

Ferrari 458 Italia on PUR Wheels

PUR Wheels has fitted this Ferrari 458 Italia with a set of PUR 1NE Monoblock wheels measuring 21-inch at the front and 22-inch at the rear. A lowering system by Novitec Rosso completes the kit.

Ferrari 458 Italia on K3 Projekt Wheels

K3 Projekt Wheels has presented a yellow Ferrari 458 Italia with matte black roof. K3 Projekt has replaced the standard wheels with 20-inch K3 Projekt F2.

Ferrari 458 Spider by A. Kahn Design

A. Kahn Design has released images of the Ferrari 458 Spider treated with his special aftermarket touch. Kahn has fitted the 458 Spider with lowered suspension, some matte black details in the back of the car, as well as the black-painted calipers and Monza forged wheels. Kahn Design also tweak the interior upon the customer’s request.

Ferrari 458 Italia by Vorsteiner and HRE Wheels

Wheels Boutique has recently completed his work on a yellow Ferrari 458 Italia. The development includes HRE wheels and Vorsteiner carbon fiber components. The car wears Vorsteiner's carbon fiber aerodynamic kit which includes a rear diffuser, front splitter and rear spoiler. The car fits on 20 and 21-inch HRE S104 wheels wrapped in Pirelli tires measuring 245/35/20 front and 355/25/21 rear.

Here you can see some photos I have taken to a Ferrari 458 Italia and a F430 Scuderia in Maranello, the town of Ferrari. The F430 Scuderia is white with gold stripes and gold rims, while the 458 is red. 

Ferrari 458 Italia brutal sound and action (video + photos)

I have filmed a Ferrari 458 Italia at the Motori & Sapori 2013 meeting, in Castelfranco Emilia, near Modena. First it starts up and revs its V8 engine, I don't think the exhaust is stock. Then, the 458 Italia races and it does some action drive. Listen to the brutal noise, the downshifts, acceleration and the backfire in the video below!

Pininfarina Sergio Concept

The Pininfarina Sergio, unveiled at the 2013 Geneva Motor Show, was created to celebrate the memory of the historic President who died last summer. The Sergio is a two-seater convertible based on the Ferrari 458 Spider, which keeps the car step and interior. The brand new body is completely made of carbon fiber and it saves 10% of weight compared to the original made of aluminum. The 21-inch alloy wheels have a specific design and the hub comes from the 458 Challenge. The frame has a torsional rigidity higher than that of the 458 Spider and it weighs about 150 kg less. The engine is the Ferrari 4.5-liter V8 with 570 hp and 540 Nm of torque. Acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h will be less than 3.4 seconds, and the Sergio will reach a top speed of over 320 km/h. Now the Sergio is a one-off, but it's not excluded the production of small numbers: five or six examples with a price of three million euros.

Ferrari 458 Spider by Capristo

The exhaust specialist Capristo has made ​​a small change to the Ferrari 458 Spider. The modification consists in a small window of clear glass on the hood that reveals the 4.5-liter V8 engine with 570 hp, as this is possible on the 458 Italia Coupe but not on the standard 458 Spider. Cost of the tuning: 9800 euro.
