Ferrari 330 GT 2+2 spotted

In the pictures below you can see a wonderful Ferrari 330 GT 2+2 that I spotted around my town. This is the second series, built from 1965 to 1967 in 474 examples. The engine was a 4.0-liter V12 60° front-mounted, the power delivered by the engine was 300 hp at 6600 rpm. The maximum speed reached by the vehicle was 245 km/h.

Porsche 356 1600 spotted

The Porsche 356 was produced from 1948 to 1966 and it can be considered the first production model of the Stuttgart house. The cars could be coupe, convertible, Speedster, Karmann hardtop coupe and roadster. The engine, originally a 1.1 liter, then brought in different versions to 1.2 - 1.3 - 1.6 and 2.0 liters, had a range of outputs that ranged from 40 hp of the first versions to over 110 hp of Carrera versions and it was derived from the Volkswagen engine that powered the Volkswagen Beetle. The architecture of the car was derived from the latter, however, also designed by Ferdinand Porsche: rear engine, air-cooled and rear-wheel drive. The 356 boasts outstanding levels of handling, lightness, reliability and road-holding and it is the anticipation of the Porsche 911.

Jaguar E-Type spotted

I have photographed this wonderful example of Jaguar E-Type at the Lido degli Estensi.

The Jaguar E-Type, also known as XKE, was produced from 1961 to 1975 and it was a revolutionary car regarding the design, the driving characteristics and aesthetics. The model was built in three different series that are designated as Series 1, Series 2 and Series 3. In the photos below you can see an example of the second series, produced since 1965, which is equipped with the 4.2 liter Jaguar engine.

Renault Clio V6 Phase 1

I photographed this awesome Renault Clio V6 at the Modena racetrack during an open date. Unfortunately I have no videos of this monster on the track, but only pictures of it parked in the paddock.
The Renault Clio V6 Renault Sport is a hot hatch based on the Renault Clio Mk II launched in 2001 and it recalls the 1980s Renault 5 Turbo. The 3.0-liter 60º V6 engine delivers 230 hp and it is placed in the middle of the car in place of the rear seats and it is rear-wheel drive. The structural change has increased the weight of 300 kg compared to the less powerful sport version 172 Cup. The performance doesn't vary much from the latter: acceleration 0-100 km/h in 6.2 seconds and top speed of 200 km/h.

EXCLUSIVE! Ferrari LaFerrari engine on the dyno: pure sound (video)

I filmed the engine of the new hypercar Ferrari LaFerrari on the dyno. You can listen to the pure sound of the engine, to the revs and the full throttle acceleration to the limiter! This is the very first video that show something like this!

The V12 naturally aspirated engine of 65° 6.3-liter delivers 800 hp at 9250 rpm, the HY-KERS system with an additional 163 hp produced by the electric motor, brings the total output to 963 hp and maximum total torque to over 900 Nm. Watch the video below!

BMW 4-Series Coupe: 420d M Sport

I posted the pictures I took at the presentation of last Sunday of the new BMW 4 Series Coupe. The model you see is the pictures is the 420d MSport, which compared to other 420d is recognizable by some aesthetic details. The Bavarian four-seater weighs 1525 kg and it is powered by the 2.0-liter diesel engine with 184 hp and 380 Nm at 1,750 rpm. The traction is rear-wheel drive, while the transmission is via a six-speed manual transmission (optional the eight-speed automatic). The acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h is in 7.5 seconds (7.3 with the automatic), while the maximum speed is 240 km/h.

Shelby AC Cobra at TGcup

I photographed this rare Shelby Cobra 427 at the Modena racetrack during the Top Gear Cup. Unfortunately, the car didn't hit the track, but stayed in the paddock all the time. The Shelby Cobra was born to combine the agility of English chassis to the power of American engines. The engine is a 7.0-liter V8 Ford that produces 500 hp. The car weights only 1311 kg! Ferrari 599 GTO spotted

Today I spotted this beauty and here I post the picures. It is a Ferrari 599 GTO in an awesome livery: red color, gold wheels and white stripes on the bonnet and the roof. Other pictures below.

Giallo Modena Ferrari F430 Scuderia

Here you are some photos of a Giallo Modena Ferrari F430 Scuderia, the most extreme version of the F430 and the successor of the 360 Challenge Stradale. This car was developed in collaboration with Micheal Schumacher. The weight was reduced of 100 kg compared to the F430 and the power of the 4.3-liter V8 was raised to 510 hp at 8500 rpm. The car was also fitted with a new automatic gearbox and a new traction control. The acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h is in 3.6 seconds, top speed is 320 km/h.

Ferrari 458 Spider

Here I post some pictures I took to a new Ferrari 458 Spider in Maranello. In the pictures you can see some details of the car, painted in Rosso Scuderia and fitted with 20-inch Sport wheels. This car features a 4.5-liter V8 engine with 570 hp at 9000 rpm and 540 Nm at 6000 rpm, that allows it accelerations 0-100 km/h in 3.4 seconds and a top speed of 320 km/h.

Verde Ithaca Lamborghini LP570-4 Superleggera

An other car you can see in Maranello is this Verde Ithaca Lamborghini LP570-4 Superleggera. I photographed some details of the car, available as the other for renting. The Superleggera features a 5.2-liter V10 engine that produces 570 hp and 540 Nm at 6.500 rpm. It accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.4 seconds and it reaches a top speed of 325 km/h.

Ferrari California 30 in Maranello

As I promised, I will upload other photos of that Sunday afternoon in Maranello, the hometown of Ferrari. Here you can see a Giallo Modena Ferrari California 30 with 20-inch Sport wheels and Cioccolato interior. The California 30 is an evolution of the traditional California, and 30 symbolizes -30 kg and +30 hp. The 4.3-liter V8 engine produces now 490 hp and 505 Nm at 5000 rpm, thanks to new exhaust manifolds and a new engine software. The chassis is made of aluminium and light alloys to reduce the weight of the car. The performance are improved: the acceleration 0-100 km/h occurs in 3.8 seconds and top speed is 312 km/h, but it has the same character of the first California. 

A Sunday afternoon in Maranello

Here you are just some of my photos of a normal Sunday afternoon in Maranello. This time I didn't go to the Ferrari Museum, because I went there some months ago during the "Ferrari Supercars" exhibition. In the pictures below you can see the supercars parked everyday outside the museum, available for test drive! You can find all the latest model of the Ferrari: California, F430, F430 Scuderia, 458 Italia, 458 Spider and also a Lamborghini LP570-4 Superleggera.

Abarth 695 Tributo Ferrari

At the "Fiera Millenaria" of Gonzaga, near Mantova, I photographed this Abarth 695 Tributo Ferrari. It is a limited edition of 1,696 examples of the 500 Abarth, of which only 99 in Blu Abu Dhabi color with Grigio Corsa details. Compared to the 500 Abarth, the 695 has the same 1.4 T-Jet engine lifted to 180 hp and 250 Nm and mated to the electro-mechanical Abarth Competizione gearbox with paddles on the steering wheel. The Tributo Ferrari accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 7.0 seconds and it reaches a top speed of 225 km/h. The sound is committed to the Record Monza exhaust with four tailpipes, 17-inch alloy wheels hide increased Brembo brakes, while the stiffened suspension features Koni components. The interior is characterized by Abarth Corsa sport seats by Sabelt in gray leather with carbon shell, the racing pedals and the plate with the vehicle series number.

2013 Maserati Ghibli

Below you can see the photos of the new Maserati Ghibli. This example was exhibited at the "Fiera Millenaria" of Gonzaga. The Maserati Ghibli is realized on the frame of the Quattroporte, but the floorpan has been shortened. The Ghibli is the first Maserati in the history that features a diesel engine, a 3.0 V6 derived in two power levels: 250 and 275 hp for 600 Nm of torque. The petrol engines are two 3.0-liter V6 twin turbo: the first has 330 hp and 500 Nm and the S has 410 hp and 550 Nm. All engines are mated to a ZF 8-speed automatic gearbox, combined with rear-wheel drive or all-wheel drive (only on the Ghibli S Q4 410 hp). The Ghibli V6 Diesel S accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 6.3 seconds and it reaches 250 km/h, while the V6 S Q4 reaches 100 km/h in 5.0 seconds to touch the maximum speed of 285 km/h.

Ariel Atom 2 300 on the track (video + photos)

I filmed this Ariel Atom at the Modena racetrack. In the video you can see the start up of the engine, some details and driving scenes on the track, included also small powerslides, acceleration and fly bys. Watch the video below.

Landini SuperLandini and L55 start up (video)

In the video below you can see a Landini Superlandini and a L55 start up and take off. I filmed all the proceedings of starting up and the details of the two tractors. It's not easy to start up an engine like this, only the enthusiasts can do it.  

Red Night - Notte Rossa Maranello 2013

Saturday 22nd June 2013 the second edition of the Red Night of Maranello took place, and here you can see some photos I took. The Red Night is a sleepless night to celebrate the Ferrari in his hometown. This year, thousands of people flooded the streets of the center, where there were concerts, shows, animations, activities related to engines and exhibition of Ferraris. In addition to engines, you could taste typical products and doing charity work.

Ferrari F40 with Tubi Style exhaust (video)

I filmed this Ferrari F40 during the Night of Engines at the Modena racetrack. This car is fitted with Tubi Style Exhaust straight pipes. Listen to the amazing sound, the start up, backfire fly by and acceleration.

Maserati GranTurismo MC Stradale and 6C 34 at Modena Terra di Motori 2013

I photographed this Maserati GranTurismo MC Stradale and this Maserati 6C 34 in Modena, during the event Modena Terra di Motori 2013. The 2013 GranTurismo MC Stradale has four seats, new carbon fiber bonnet with air intakes, new 20-inch wheels and redesigned rear bumper. The engine is the 4.7-liter V8 with 460 hp and 520 Nm. Instead, the Maserati 6C 34 was built from 1934 to 1935, it features a six-cylinder in line engine 3.7-liter with 270 hp and it reaches a top speed of 250 km/h!
