Alfa Romeo racecars - Best of sound, launch, fly bys & hillclimb action

Italiansupercarvideo and I filmed some Alfa Romeo race cars at the 23° Vernasca Silver Flag 2018, Dynamic Restoration and Conservation Concours for historic racing cars. The event traces the street of the antique hillclimb Castell'Arquato - Lugagnano - Vernasca.
In the video you can see the best of: smoking tires, launches, acceleration, fast fly bys, curves, spitting flames from exhaust and pure engine sound on the street.

Aston Martin DBS and DB9 Spider Zagato Centennial

On the occasion of the centenary of Aston Martin, the House of Gaydon in collaboration with Zagato body shop, has given rise to two unique examples baptized DBS Coupe Zagato Centennial and DB9 Spyder Zagato Centennial. The DBS Coupe Zagato Centennial was built for a Japanese collector, while the DB9 Spider Zagato Centennial has been assembled for an American collector. The two one-off feature references to the Aston Martin of the past, in addition to the classic style of Zagato like the double bubble on the roof and the big front grille. The interiors are tailored made, using rare and precious materials.

Diatto Ottovù Zagato

After the debut at the 2007 Geneva Motor Show, the Diatto Ottovù Zagato is finally ready to hit the production line. The Diatto Ottovù Zagato was created to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the Milan coachbuilder. The Diatto Ottovù Zagato features a 580 hp V8 engine, which accelerates the supercar from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.9 seconds. The car could also feature a 750 hp V12.

Alfa Romeo SZ spotted (photos)

In the pictures you can see an Alfa Romeo SZ, photographed by my friend Max Pecoraro, at the RIAR meeting at the Autodromo di Modena. The Alfa Romeo SZ (Sprint Zagato), was produced between 1989 and 1991 from Alfa in collaboration with Zagato, in 1036 examples all in red, except one in black for Andrea Zagato. The mechanics and the floor were inherited by the Alfa Romeo 75 IMSA, the engine was the V6 Busso 3.0-liter with 60° between the V and 12 valves, the same of the 75 Quadrifoglio Oro raised to 210 hp, which allowed it to reach 230 km/h of top speed and acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in 7.5 seconds. The suspension was modified and brakes were inherited from the 75 Turbo Evoluzione. The car is fitted with a hydraulic system for varying the height from the ground. This car was deliberately created to impress especially for its aesthetic form. It was the last Alfa Romeo with rear-wheel drive until the arrival of the 8C Competizione.

Porsche Carrera GT Zagato

This Porsche Carrera GT Zagato is a one-off ordered by former rally driver Ernst Berg to the Milanese body shop Zagato. The changes are not many, as it wants to be an evolution of the original model: the bonnet has been redesigned, exhaust system has been updated, the roof is changed, as well as the bumpers and the rear diffuser. The engine has not changed and it remains the 5.7-liter naturally aspirated V10 capable of delivering a maximum power of 612 hp at 8,000 rpm and a torque of 590 Nm at 5,750 rpm. The Carrera GT Zagato is able to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.9 seconds, while top speed is 330 km/h.

2013 Aston Martin Rapide S

The Aston Martin has released the first official images of the 2013 Rapide S. The most evident innovation is the new front grille, based on the V12 Zagato. The suspension adopts the adjustable ADS (Adaptive Damping System), which allow you to select three modes: Normal, Sport and Track. The engine is a 5.9-liter V12 with 558 hp at 6750 rpm and 620 Nm at 5000 rpm, improved in the electronic management and equipped with a new shape of the combustion chambers, lightweight camshafts and a new stainless steel exhaust system with racing catalyst. The performance has been improved, with acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.9 seconds and a top speed of 304 km/h, very respectable for a GT 5 meters long and weighing 2100 kg.

Aston Martin V12 Zagato

The Aston Martin V12 Zagato, the concept car that last year was ranked in first place at the Concorso d'Eleganza Villa d'Este, will go into production, though in a limited edition of 101 pieces. The V12 Zagato is based on the V12 Vantage, it features a 6.0 liter V12 engine with 517 hp at 6,500 rpm and a torque of 570 Nm at 5,750 rpm, rear wheel drive and six-speed automatic gearbox. The car can reach a top speed of 305 km/h, covering the sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in just 4.2 seconds. The price should be around 330,000 pounds including taxes.

BMW Zagato Coupe (video + photos)

Presented at the Concourse d'Eleganza Villa d'Este 2012, the BMW Zagato Coupé is the result of a collaboration between BMW and Zagato. The body was built entirely by hand, based on the Z4, and the car was homologated for road use. The grid is composed of innumerable small chrome "z" of Zagato. The Zagato Coupe is equipped with 19" wheels with five spokes in matte painting, playing on the contrast with the brilliant red body paint. There is no information on the mechanics. Bentley GTZ Zagato (photos)

This is one of nine exclusive models of the value of 800,000 Euros of the Bentley GTZ. Born from the Bentley Continental GT Speed ​​but, thanks to Zagato, it has evolved into a unique creature with a V12 engine with 610hp. Aluminum body to decrease the weight, roof with two humps just mentioned, alloy wheels 20" and carbon-ceramic brakes. Leather interior virtually anywhere, even on the roof, thick carpets on the floor and in the trunk. So much elegance accompanies an acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.5s for a top speed of 330 km/h. This supercar was presented at the Geneva International Motor Show 2008, and I saw it at the Concourse of Villa d'Este 2012.
