Aston Martin DBS and DB9 Spider Zagato Centennial

On the occasion of the centenary of Aston Martin, the House of Gaydon in collaboration with Zagato body shop, has given rise to two unique examples baptized DBS Coupe Zagato Centennial and DB9 Spyder Zagato Centennial. The DBS Coupe Zagato Centennial was built for a Japanese collector, while the DB9 Spider Zagato Centennial has been assembled for an American collector. The two one-off feature references to the Aston Martin of the past, in addition to the classic style of Zagato like the double bubble on the roof and the big front grille. The interiors are tailored made, using rare and precious materials.

Bugatti Grand Sport Vitesse Legend Jean-Pierre Wimille Edition

Bugatti has announced it will offer "Les Légendes de Bugatti," a series of special editions of the Veyron 16.4 Grand Sport Vitesse to pay tribute to the six heroes of the story of Bugatti. The Bugatti Legend "Jean-Pierre Wimille" relates to the successes of the eponymous racing driver who won two victories at the 24 Heures du Mans: in 1937 driving a Bugatti 57G Tank, and in 1939 driving a 57C Tank. The Veyron is inspired by the car that won in 1937: the carbon fiber bodywork is colored in Wimille Bleu, the color scheme is repeated in the cockpit. The Bugatti Veyron 16.4 Grand Sport Vitesse features a W16 engine with 1200 hp and 1500 Nm, which allows it to reach a top speed of 408 km/h and accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 2.6 seconds.

Jaguar F-Type Project 7 Speedster Design Concept

Ahead of the Goodwood Festival of Speed 2013, Jaguar has released the first images and details about the Jaguar F-Type Project 7 Speedster. The Project 7 is a one-off created from the new F-Type roadster, inspired by the classic racing cars of the past, like the glorious D-Type. The body is completely made of aluminum with aerodynamic components made ​​of carbon. The fabric roof has been removed to make space for the roll bar and decrease the mass of the car. Inside, the passenger seat has been removed, while the pilot's seat is placed 30 mm lower than the road car. The 5.0-liter V8 supercharged engine is the same as the XKR-S GT, it delivers 550 hp and enables acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.1 seconds.

Ford Mustang GT US Air Force Thunderbirds

Ford has created a one-off Mustang GT to celebrate the sixtieth anniversary of the U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds, the U.S. Air Force aerobatic team. The Ford Mustang GT U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds comes with forged 22-inch alloy wheels, coats of the aerobatic team on the body and the livery of the F-16 Falcon. The cabin is equipped with Recaro front seats and unique custom details. Under the hood, the Mustang has a new supercharger, it is also fitted with Brembo brakes and sportier suspension. The Ford Mustang GT U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds will be sold in a charity auction on 1st August at EAA AirVenture in Oshkosh, Wisconsin. The proceeds will be donated to the EAA Young Eagles program.

One-off Porsche 959 Speedster for sale

The Porsche 959 was produced in 337 examples from 1986 to 1989. The car you see in the images was originally a 959 coupe; following an accident, the German owner decided to turn it into a convertible unique in the world. Under the hood, the car has a six-cylinder boxer twin-turbo 2.8-liter engine that produces 450 hp. The engine has covered only 8,100 km since it was registered in November 1987. Now this car is for sale on AutoScout24, the price is secret.

Bucci Special

From Clemar Bucci's dream to create a supercar, a former Argentine driver died more than two years ago, the Bucci Special will born. The former pilot worked on the car before his death, and now the car will see the light thanks to his nephew Paul, head of the Scuderia Bucci. The Special is made by a tubular chassis, carbon panels and it features an AMG 7.3-liter 600 hp engine. The transmission is a six-speed derived from Pagani. All other components are manufactured in Argentina.

Montecarlo Automobile Rascasse

The Montecarlo Automobile, car manufacturer of the Principality of Monaco, has presented the Rascasse to celebrate 30 years of industry. The naturally aspirated V12 engine, derived from the 5.4-liter BMW which was also adopted on the 1998 Rolls-Royce Silver Seraph, develops 500 hp. It is a bi-fuel engine powered by petrol and LPG enriched with hydrogen. The Rascasse will then be presented in a performance variant, equipped with hybrid supercharged engine. The interior of the supercar are fully customizable by customers. The Rascasse will be produced in only 15 examples.

Bugatti EB110 GT at Motor Gallery

I photographed this Bugatti EB110 GT at the Motor Gallery in Modena. The EB110 GT was produced from 1991 to 1995 in only 95 examples. The car is powered by a 3.5-liter V12 with four turbochargers that delivers 560 hp at 8,000 rpm and 608 Nm at 3,700 rpm. The power is discharged to the ground through the permanent four wheel drive, coupled with the six-speed gearbox. The total weight is about 1620 kg, thanks to the carbon fiber chassis: the EB110 accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.46 seconds and it reaches a top speed of 342 km/h, at the time was the fastest car in the world.

Gianni Agnelli's Ferrari Testarossa Spider at Motor Gallery

I photographed this Ferrari Testarossa Spider at the Motor Gallery in Modena. This car belonged to Gianni Agnelli. The Testarossa Spider was built on request in only five examples. The engine cover has been redesigned compared to the Testarossa and the chassis has been stiffened. The engine is the 4.9-liter V12 with 390 hp.

Mazzanti Evantra V8 at Motor Gallery 2013

In the pictures you can see the new Mazzanti Evantra V8, exposed at the Motor Gallery of Modena after the world premiere in Monaco. The Tuscan supercar is handmade in five examples per year and it is fully customizable by customers. The 7.0-liter naturally aspirated V8 engine delivers 701 hp at 6,600 rpm and 848 Nm at 4,500 rpm, mated to a six-speed sequential gearbox and a low weight of 1300 kg, it allows acceleration of the Evantra from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.2 seconds and a top speed of 350 km/h. The Evantra is constructed mainly of carbon and aerodynamics is studied in collaboration with the Ysim, a company specialized in Formula 1 sector, while the wheels are provided by OZ and brakes by Brembo.

Motor Gallery 2013 (photos)

Here you can find the photos of the first edition of the Motor Gallery in Modena, the exhibition of Italian cars and motorcycles. The protagonists of exposure were Ferrari, Maserati, Lamborghini, Bugatti, De Tomaso, Lancia, Alfa Romeo as well as collections of cars and motorcycles such as Mario Righini, Panini, Stanguellini, Fiat Historic Register and car museum in San Martino in Rio. The most important pieces were among the sport barchetta and rally cars from the past: in addition to Ferrari, Maserati and Osca, an Autobianchi A112 Abarth, a Lancia Fulvia HF 1600 Fanalone, a Lancia Stratos Gr.4, a Lancia Delta Safari, a Fiat 124 Spider Abarth Gr.4, a Fiat Uno Turbo and a Ferrari 308 Gr.4, all in racing livery. The Mazzanti Evantra made its debut at the Motor Gallery, it is a supercar built by hand in 5 examples per year. Among the most admired car, surely there are also the one-off Ferrari Testarossa Spider made ​​for Gianni Agnelli, the Alfa Romeo of Rita Hayworth and the rare Bugatti EB110.

Mini Paceman Life Ball 2013 by Roberto Cavalli

Roberto Cavalli has created a one-off based on Mini Paceman for the initiative launched in 2002 by the Mini Charity. The Mini Life Ball 2013 by Roberto Cavalli is characterized by a coating that changes color gradation, from black to brown, depending on the light. There are also the Cavalli signatures inside the car. The debut of the car took place in Vienna, where it was auctioned at the gala of solidarity in favor of the fight against AIDS.

Alfa Romeo 8C Spider spotted (photos)

I photographed this Alfa Romeo 8C Spider in Mirandola, during an exposure of the Imperiale bodyshop. Matte gray color is just gorgeous! Not to mention the car, which is a real piece of art! The 8C Spider was produced in a limited series of 500 units from 2009; as Alfa Romeo tradition, the roof is made of fabric. The 8C Spider is equipped with the Maserati V8 engine 4.7-liter 450 hp of the 8C Competizione, combined with rear-wheel drive and a six-speed automatic gearbox, which allows an acceleration 0-100 km/h in 4.5 seconds and a top speed over 290 km/h.

Aston Martin CC100 Speedster Concept

To celebrate 100 years, Aston Martin launches the CC100 Speedster Concept, a two-seater prototype that looks back to the sport car of the 50s. In fact, the CC100 Speedster takes its cue from the 1956 DBR1, with which the Aston Martin won the 24 Hours of LeMans in 1959: the long bonnet, the arrangement of the two seats, the two aerodynamic devices behind the head restraints and the showy trims front fenders. Everything was taken up in a modern way, using lightweight materials and innovations such as carbon-fiber body. Under the hood, the CC100 Speedster Concept features the classic AM11 V12 6-liter naturally aspirated engine, which develops 558 hp. The engine is mated to a six-speed hydraulically actuated automated sequential manual transmission, controlled via steering column-mounted paddle shifts. The performances by Aston Martin speak of an acceleration 0-100 km/h in less than 5 seconds and a top speed of 290 km/h.

Syrena Sport

The Polish entrepreneur Rafal Czubaj with the designer Pavlo Burkatskyy have designed to build a one-off car: the Syrena Sport. Czubaj and Burkatskyy took inspiration from the FSO Syrena Sport, a concept of the end of the fifties that never saw the light, made of steel frame and fiber body and powered by a small two-cylinder air-cooled boxer engine. The new Syrena Sport is based on the Nissan 370Z, with a 3.7-liter V6 engine with about 330 hp. The performance seem to be in the order of 4.5 seconds for the 0-100 km/h, while the maximum speed amount to 290 km/h.

Lamborghini Egoista

Automobili Lamborghini has unveiled the Egoista, a concept car built to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the house. Designed by Walter de Silva, the car is inspired by an Apache helicopter, it has the shape of a trimaran and it presents active flaps. The Egoista is based on the architecture of the Lamborghini Gallardo, it has a structure made ​​of carbon fiber and it features the 5.2-liter V10 with 600 hp. Inside, the car is equipped with a racing seat with four-point safety belts, a head-up display to control the most important information and removable steering wheel.

Tumbler by Team Galag

The Tumbler of the Team Galag is born to run the 2013 Gumball 3000. This is a road legal replica of Batman's Tumbler appeared in Batman Begins and The Dark Knight. The Tumbler is powered by a 6.2-liter V8 Chevrolet with 400 hp. The Gumball 3000 will start on 19th May from Copenhagen, then it pass through Stockholm, Helsinki, St. Petersburg, Tallinn, Riga, Warsaw, Vienna and the Principality of Monaco for a journey of 3000 miles.

Jensen Viperceptor

The Jensen Viperceptor borns from a 1973 Jensen Interceptor. This is a car built by hand and completely redesigned from the original. The name Viperceptor comes from the 8.3-liter V10 engine with 510 hp of the Dodge Viper, which was placed under the hood of this car to ensure the performance of a modern GT.
