Top Gear Cup @ Autodromo di Modena (video)

Here you can find my photos of the ultimate stage of the 2013 TGcup at the Autodromo di Modena. The cars participants at the meeting were about forty, some of which are certainly worthy of note! Among them, I can mention the Peugeot 2008 that competed in the Mongol Rally with TopGear Italia, in addition the Nissan Juke Nismo, the Subaru BRZ and the Mercedes A45 AMG. In the paddock of the circuit, a space was set up to feel the emotions of the Caterham alongside a professional driver. 2013 KTM X-Bow GT

At the Geneva Motor Show the KTM will present the X-Bow GT, a bit more tourist version of the extreme roadster X-Bow. The new KTM X-Bow GT comes with a new windshield and two small doors of glass to protect the passenger compartment. The engine should remain the 2.0-liter TFSI with 240 hp, but details are still unknown.

KTM X-BOW RR

A KTM X-BOW RR has made a lap of the Nurburgring in 7:25.72 minutes, thus setting the 17th fastest time and revealing just a few hundredths slower than the Ferrari Enzo. The KTM X-BOW RR was driven by Christopher Haase, GT4 European champion in 2008 and winner of the 24 Hours of Nurburgring, in 2009 he won the FIA GT3 and the following year he competed in the FIA GT1 category. The X-BOW RR has improved by almost 45 seconds the preceding detection of X-BOW Clubsport (8:10 minutes). The RR version is configured according to specific racing and uses an evolution of the 2.0 TFSI, modified to produce 360 ​​hp. Video and pictures below.

KTM X-Bow (photos)

Here some photos taken by me of the KTM X-Bow. It is a racing car designed by Dallara. It is a roadster extreme without a roof, which points more to the lightness rather than the power to achieve very high performance. The car is a with two seats with a 4-cylinder engine 2.0 TFSI with 240 hp for a top speed of 217 km/h and acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.9 seconds and from 0 to 160 km/h in 8.5 seconds. The downforce generated at 100 km/h is 48 kg and may touch 1.23 g of lateral acceleration. The braking system features discs of 305 mm (manufactured by Brembo) that stop the car from 100 km/h to zero in 33.1 meters. This car weights only 700 kg! You would try it on the circuit of Modena, accompanied by a professional pilot.
