Volswagen Golf GTI Mk1: start up and track scenes [video]

I filmed this modified Volkswagen Golf GTI Mk1 at the Modena racetrack during the Japanese Cars Meeting. In the video you can see some details of the car, then you can listen to the start up of the engine and see driving scenes on the track, with pure sound during acceleration. The GTI was powered by a 1.6-liter four-cylinder engine fed by a Bosch K-Jetronic fuel injection, which helped it develop 110 PS at 6,100 rpm and 140 Nm of torque at 5,000 rpm. Aided with a curb weight of just 810 Kg, it allowed the GTI to accelerate 0-60 mph in 9 seconds and reach a top speed of 180 km/h.

1° Marzaglia Treffen gathering (video)

The 13th October 2013 was held at the Modena racetrack the 1st Marzaglia Treffen, a car meeting of the Audi-Volkswagen group, which refers to the famous VAG Treffen in Worthersee. In addition to the photos that you can find below, I posted the video made ​​by me with the interview to the organizer of the gathering and some images of the cars exhibition. In the video you can also see the parade of cars on the track. Want to know the most important cars that you can see here? Volkswagen Passat CC by FolienCenter-NRW

FolienCenter-NRW has prepared a package for the Volkswagen Passat CC. The Passat comes with the body wrapped in a matte brown film with glossy black details on mirrors and front grille. The car features KW suspension and 20-inch alloy wheels of the Bentley Mulliner. Inside there are brown finishes. The 2.0-liter TDI engine is fitted with a SKN ECU, which brings the power to 210 hp and torque to 400 Nm. Top speed is over 230 km/h and acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h is covered in less than 8 seconds.

2013 Volkswagen Golf GTI

Volkswagen will present at the 2013 Geneva Motor Show, the Golf GTI, which will be available in two variants: GTI and GTI Performance. The engine is the same for both, a four-cylinder 2.0-liter TSI that delivers 220 and 230 hp, while torque is 350 Nm for the two versions. Both are fitted as standard with a 6-speed manual transmission and a six-speed DSG as an option. The performances are almost identical: the GTI Performance accelerates from 0 to 100km/h in 6.4 seconds and it reaches 250 km/h, while the GTI takes 6.5 seconds and it reaches 246 km/h of top speed. The Performance model also offers a front mechanical limited slip differential, absent on the base, and larger brakes. Outside, the typical GTI style remains: red brake calipers, chrome exhaust, 17-inch Brooklyn wheels, side skirts and rear diffuser. Interiors are characterized by red lighting and Scottish upholstery fabric for seats, over the steering wheel, shift lever and a instrumentation with a sporty look and steel pedal. The Golf GTI goes on sale in Germany in March.

Volkswagen Golf VII by RDX

The German tuner RDX got their hands on the latest version of the Volkswagen Golf. The bodykit includes a new front bumper with side air intakes, new side skirts, rear wing and a rear diffuser with an exhaust pipe on the left side. Chrome alloy wheels with five spokes are also new. For the moment there is no news of any modifications to the engine and interior.

Volkswagen Scirocco GTS

After entering the German market at the end of 2012, the Volkswagen will extend the sale of Scirocco GTS also to the French market. To characterize the GTS are the stripes on the body, mirrors with red caps, 18-inches alloy wheels (19" optional), the red brake calipers, rear spoiler and the new rear bumper with matte black diffuser. Inside, the seats are offered standard in black leather and red stitching, piano black trim for the dashboard and sport steering wheel with flat bottom. The GTS is offered with the following petrol and diesel engines: 1.4-liter TSI with 160 hp, 2.0-liter TSI with 210 hp and 2.0 TDI with 140 hp and 170. The 1.4 TSI with 122 hp and the 2.0 TSI of the R with 265 hp are excluded. The Scirocco GTS will be available for France in just 80 examples.

Volkswagen Polo R WRC

Volkswagen has unveiled the new Polo R WRC, the road version of the rally car. The Polo R is equipped with a 2.0-liter TSI direct injection turbo with 220 hp and 350 Nm of torque. The Polo R weighs only 1200 kg and it accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 6.4 seconds, reaching a top speed of 243 km/h. Traction is front and the gearbox is manual. The body is only 3 doors in white and blue livery of the racing version. The body kit includes new bumpers, widened wheel arches, 18-inch alloy wheels, spoiler and rear diffuser. Inside, the car features aluminum pedals, steering wheel in Alcantara and WRC logos on Alcantara sport seats. The Polo R WRC will be produced in a limited edition of only 2500 examples.

Volkswagen Golf R Electrified by Cam Shaft

The German tuner Cam Shaft has modified the Golf R, calling Electrified. The Golf R is equipped with a 2.0-liter TFSI with 270 hp and 350 Nm of torque. Cam Shaft, changing the electronics and the management of the turbo, allows the 2.0 TFSI delivering 325 hp and 430 Nm of torque. The changes also affect the suspension, Tarox brakes and black OZ rims. The car is painted in a livery called Electric Orange.

Volkswagen CC by MR Design

The Volkswagen Passat CC by MR comes from the top of the range, the VR6 4Motion, which has a 3.6-liter V6 with 300 hp. MR Design kit increases power output of 200 bhp, bringing it to 500 hp, torque instead rose from 350 to 700 Nm, thanks to the adoption of a turbo, a new management of the control unit and a sports exhaust system. The structure has been lowered, KW suspension are mated with 18-inch OZ black rims and a new brake system.

Volkswagen Polo R

Volkswagen may present at the Geneva Motor Show 2013 the Volkswagen Polo R, the most powerful version ever made of a road Volkswagen Polo. The car will be built on the base of the Volkswagen WRC Concept Street. The engine will be a 2.0 turbo about 225 horsepower, which are expected to take from 0 to 100 km/h in less than 6 seconds, touching a maximum speed of over 240 km/h.
