Alfa Romeo SZ spotted (photos)

In the pictures you can see an Alfa Romeo SZ, photographed by my friend Max Pecoraro, at the RIAR meeting at the Autodromo di Modena. The Alfa Romeo SZ (Sprint Zagato), was produced between 1989 and 1991 from Alfa in collaboration with Zagato, in 1036 examples all in red, except one in black for Andrea Zagato. The mechanics and the floor were inherited by the Alfa Romeo 75 IMSA, the engine was the V6 Busso 3.0-liter with 60° between the V and 12 valves, the same of the 75 Quadrifoglio Oro raised to 210 hp, which allowed it to reach 230 km/h of top speed and acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in 7.5 seconds. The suspension was modified and brakes were inherited from the 75 Turbo Evoluzione. The car is fitted with a hydraulic system for varying the height from the ground. This car was deliberately created to impress especially for its aesthetic form. It was the last Alfa Romeo with rear-wheel drive until the arrival of the 8C Competizione.

Alfa Romeo Alfasud on the track (video + photos)

In the pictures you can see a modified Alfa Romeo Alfasud at the Modena racetrack. In the video, instead you will see some details of the car, the starting up of the engine, some revs and some laps on the track. Listen to the pure sound, the backfires and the downshifts! Watch the video below.

Alfa Romeo 8C Competizione by Wheelsandmore

This is an elaboration of Wheelsandmore, a German tuner, of an Alfa Romeo 8C Competizione. The changes are mostly in performance, except for some exterior details: the matte white color, the longitudinal stripe that runs through the body of the 8C and new alloy wheels 21-inch lightweight forged blacks. Under the bonnet were made two updates ​​by Wheelsandmore: the first takes the maximum power of 8C to 470 hp, so 20 more than the standard model, and the maximum torque to 500Nm, thanks to the reprogramming of the ECU. The price of this first configuration amounts to 1,680 euros. The second update adds another 15 extra horsepower (485 in total) and 20Nm more torque (520 in total) through the adoption of a new stainless steel exhaust system with open valves in sport mode. Well have to pay 6,720 euros for the most radical. In addition, Wheelsandmore also offers the ability to customize your car with almost infinite colors.

Alfa Romeo 4C (photos)

Here you are some photos of the Alfa Romeo 4C. This car won the "Design Award for Concept Cars & Prototypes" at the Concourse of Villa d'Este. The final version of the 4C will maintain an appearance very similar to the prototype in these photos. The Alfa Romeo 4C is equipped with 1,750 direct injection turbo petrol with 230 bhp of the Giulietta Quadrifoglio Verde and combined with the automatic transmission with double clutch TCT modified specifically for the 4C. The objective of Alfa is to have a weight lower than 1,000 kg: frame of carbon fiber and alluminium, body of composite materials. The 4C will go on sale next year with a price of about 50,000euro. Top speed of 250km/h and 0-100km/h in less than 5s.
