Bertone Aston Martin Rapide Shooting Brake

Aston Martin has recently revealed Aston Martin Rapide S which will show at the Geneva Motor Show 2013, beside which also exhibit the Shooting Brake. The design is Italian, signed Bertone, hence the name Bertone Jet 2+2, and celebrates the 100th anniversary of Aston Martin and 60 years of collaboration between Aston Martin and Bertone. The car uses the base of the Rapide, a 5.9 liter V12 with 470 hp, opposed to the more powerful 550 hp in the Rapide S. The interior is finished in special wood, aluminum and two-tone leather trims. The 2+2 cabin has four individual seats, the two rear seats can be folded down to expand the luggage space.

Mercedes CLS Shooting Brake by Lorinser

The German tuner Lorinser has presented a body kit and a mechanical kit for the Mercedes CLS Shooting Brake. The body kit includes a new front bumper with a splitter, side skirts, rear spoiler and a sports exhaust system in stainless steel. The kit is completed by new black alloy wheels, available in sizes 19 and 20 inches and by 25 mm lowered suspension. The interior can be customized according to the tastes of customers, entering details more sporty or elegant. The engine 350 BlueEFFICIENCY equipped with the 3.5-liter V6 petrol with 306 hp gains 16 hp and reaches 322 hp, while torque increases from 370 Nm to 400 Nm. The engine 350 CDI BlueEFFICIENCY 3.0-liter V6 diesel with 265 hp gains 40 hp and reaches 305 hp, while torque is 695 Nm (+75 Nm).

Porsche Panamera Sport Turismo

Even Porsche will have its shooting brake: it's called Porsche Panamera Sport Tourism and it anticipates the changes to the style that will be applied to the future Panamera, which will have redesigned headlights and a  bigger front air intake. The Panamera Sport Tourism has been made in version e-Hybryd, so it is plug-in hybrid, powered by the 3.0-liter V6 TFSI turbocharged with 333 hp mated to an electric motor with 95 hp. The total power reaches 416 hp. It has a range of 30 km in EV driving mode, and in this condition the car reaches a top speed of 130 km/h. With its two engines the shooting brake accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 6 seconds. Although there is no official confirmation, the Sport Tourism could actually become a production car.

Mercedes CLS 63 AMG Shooting Brake (video)

Here it is the test drive video of the new Mercedes CLS Shooting Brake 63AMG, driven by the famous Chris Harris. The AMG version is equipped with a 5.5-liter V8 biturbo, declined in variants with 525 hp and 700 Nm and 557 hp and 800 Nm, this reserved to the Performance edition. Both are combined with the AMG Speedshift MCT seven-speed automatic gearbox. In terms of performance, both reach 250 km/h, while the 0-100 km/h Performance guarantees a one-tenth lower step than the normal version: 4.3 s instead of 4.4. Enjoy the test drive!

BMW 6 Touring

BMW may also develop an estate version of the new 6 Series Gran Coupe. Here are renderings (unofficial) that suggest a possible BMW 6 Series SW, a sporty station wagon. After the presentation of the Mercedes CLS Shooting Brake is not excluded that the BMW follow the example!

Audi A7 Avant

Mercedes is ready to launch a brand new model that basically combines a wagon and a four-door coupe. It will be called the CLS Shooting Brake and it will debut at the Paris Motor Show. It clear from this car and the BMW 6-Series Gran Coupe that German engineers and designers are willing to break every rule in order to sell more cars. So here's the idea of a hypothesized of an Audi A7 Avant.

Mercedes CLS Shooting Brake (photos)

In these days Mercedes has presented the new CLS Shooting Brake. It will be available in Europe from November. The differences from the sedan are in the size and versatility of the bench that allows you to expand the trunk. Under the bonnet the Shooting Brake is not so different from the sedan: 3.5 V6 engine with 306 hp, 4.7 V8 twin turbo 408 hp, the range includes the 2.1 diesel four-cylinder twin turbo 204 hp and 500 Nm and the 3.0 V6 with 265 hp and 620 Nm. Later AMG version will be available with the 5.5 V8 biturbo power declined in the two variants with 525 and 557 hp. The engines will be matched to the new standard 7G-Tronic Plus.
